Obituary
Dorothy Marie Brock White was born on July 17, 1934 in New Willard, Texas to parents, Edward Cullen Brock and Marybelle (Rozell) Brock and went to be with the Lord on August 2, 2015 at the age of 81. She married Sam Donahoe White Jr. on October 10, 1953 in Leggett, Texas. They had 5 children. She is preceded in death by her husband of 47 years, Sam D. White Jr.; infant son, Sam D. White III; son, John Paul White; father, Edwrad Cullen Brock; birth mother, Marybelle Rozell Brock; mother that raised her, Gertrude Matlock Brock; grandparents, Ruel and Clyde Brock, Sam and Arie Rozell; brother, Bucky Brock; great-grandson, Josh Burnett; and son-in-law, Franklin Burnett.
She is survived by her daughters, Betty Burnett of Livingston, Texas and Mary Patton and Roy of New Caney, Texas; son, Robert White and Margaret of New Caney, Texas; daughter-in-law, Jonelle White of Houston, Texas; sisters, Linda Maddux and Jimmie of Spring, Texas and Reba Harrington and Dale of Louisiana; sister-in-law, Elaine Brock Cole and Carl of Mississippi; brothers-in-law, James White of Humble, Texas and Jay White and Mary of Ohio; grandchildren, Frank Burnett, Francis Burnett, Heather McKenney, Roy Patton Jr., Ethan White, Andree White, and Noah White; great-grandchildren, Skylar Patton, Blain Patton, Annebelle Patton, Mace McKenney, Andrew Burnett, Anthony Burnett; along with numerous other relatives, and friends.
Dorothy retired from New Caney ISD after 33 years of service. She always enjoyed singing and doing needlework. Her greatest joy was her grandchildren and great-grandchildren. She loved to cook big meals for family and friends.
