Born on March 10, 1995, in Cleveland, Texas, Douglas graduated from Big Sandy High School. Shortly after graduation, he began his career in pipelining, starting as a grunt and working his way up to a skilled trackhoe operator. He took great pride in working alongside his dad, Dusty, his brother, Tyler, and his extended pipeline family, though he briefly explored automobile sales for a few years, his heart always brought him back to the pipeline, where he continued working until his passing.

Douglas loved the outdoors – hunting and fishing were favorite pastimes, but his true passion was golf. He competed in amateur tournaments and was actively involved in TCP. A quote from one of his favorite movies captured his spirit perfectly: Inside each and every one of us is one true authentic swing. Something he was born with…Something that got to be remembered”

Douglas was known for his selfless heart and bright attitude. Even through his health challenges, he remained positive, full of life and always ready to help anyone in need. His genuine spirit touched everyone who knew him.

He is survived by his loving parents, Dusty and Sherry Griffin; his sister, Kathryn Griffin, his brother and sister-in-law, Tyler and Mireh Griffin; his niece and nephew, Melody and Tanner Griffin, his aunt and uncle, Shelly and David Moore; and numerous cousins.

Douglas Andrew Griffin, 31, of Livingston, Texas passed away on May 14, 2026 after a courageous battle with cancer.

He is preceded in death by his grandmother, Mary Ellen Neely Griffin.

Douglas will be deeply missed for his authentic swing through life, his kind heart, and the joy he brought to so many. May his memory and that unbreakable spirit lives on in all who loved him.
