Mr. Wilkinson was born on May 28, 1922 in Goodrich, Texas and passed away on August 11, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Doyle P. Wilkinson and Dora (Turner) Wilkinson; grandson, Jason Lowe; great-granddaughter, Lauren Jones; three brothers and one sister. He was a Baptist by faith and proudly served his country in the U.S. Army. Dee married Velma Locke on July 7, 1950. At the beginning of his marriage, he worked on the pipeline and numerous other jobs. On October 8, 1959, he began working with the City of Livingston Electrical Department until his retirement on January 31, 1985.

He is survived by his wife, Velma Wilkinson of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Cindy Wilkinson of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Roy Wilkinson and Marlene of Rusk, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy Lowe and Ronney of Livingston, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Linda Jones and Mike of Livingston, Texas; granddaughter and husband, Bria Lowe Morris and David of Livingston, Texas; grandson and wife, Brian Jones and Christie of Livingston, Texas; grandson and wife, Craig Jones and Lindsey of Livingston, Texas; granddaughter, Kelly Wilkinson of Rusk, Texas; great-grandchildren, Gage Morris, Jace Morris, Emily Jones, Lexi Jones, and Lizzy Jones, all of Livingston, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Mr. Wilkinson will be escorted to his grave by pallbearers, Wayne Farmer, Billy McPike, Leonard Tucker, James Smith, Dewayne Oates, and Wilburn Reeves.
