Earl Holder, age 77 of Goodrich, Texas passed away on September 30, 2013 in Goodrich. He was born on July 1, 1936 in Houston, Texas to parents, Henry and Ethel (McGallion) Holder.
Earl is preceded in death by both of his parents and seven siblings. He is survived by his wife, Amy Holder of Goodrich, Texas; daughters, Lennie Swander and husband Bill of Goodrich, Texas, Tammie Surrency and husband Danny of Goodrich, Texas, Michelle Bates and husband Mark of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Earl Swander and wife Megan, Nicole Riggens and husband Cody, Wayne Surrency, Stevie Bates, and Cody Bates; great-grandchildren, Evan Swander, Hemi Riggens, and Ryder Surrency; sister, Mary Kingsbury of Myrtle Beach, South Carolina; brother, Dale Holder of Buffalo, Texas; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
Services for Earl Holder "Texas Proud" will be held at 1:00 PM, on Thursday, October 3, 2013 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas. Bro. Charles Murphy will be officiating. Interment will follow at Peebles Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Honor Guard Post #8568.
Visitation will be held at 6:00 PM on Wednesday, October 2, 2013 also at Cochran Funeral Home.
