E.B. ""Bud"" Phillips 87 of Livingston passed away peacefully at his home on Wednesday October 7, 2009. Graveside services were held Friday October 9, 2009 at 10:00AM in the Peebles Cemetery with Rev. Frank Hood and Rev. Harold Isaacs officiating.

Bud was born August 25, 1922 in Rusk City, to parents Edgar Jefferson Phillips Sr. and Maude Vernon Morris Phillips. He is preceded in death by his parents. sister Lucille Gray and brother Jude Glasscock.

He is survived by his wife Mae Dell Phillips of Livingston, daughter Cindy Smelley and husband Stacey of Livingston, daughter Sissy Lambeth and husband Billy of Livingston, son Tommy Stout and wife Sandra of Oakhurst, brothers Junior Phillips of Livingston,

R.B. Phillips and wife Florence of Nacogdoches, sisters Jean Ross and husband Norman of Livingston, Sue Hutchins and husband David. He is also survived by his grandchildren Maggie Smelley, Kimi McLaurin and husband Rusty, Bill Lambeth and wife Pam, Kim Dyke and husband Ensley, numerous great grandchildren, nieces and nephews. His special friends Elmer & Cricket Cooley and special caregivers Peggy & Charles Franklin also survive him.
