Funeral services for Eddie R. Drabek, 94, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, October 11, 2014 at 10:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church in Goodrich, Texas with Dr. Don Willis officiating. Interment will be held at 3:00 p.m. in the Forest Park Lawndale Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held Friday, October 10, 2014 beginning at 5:30 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Drabek was born February 22, 1920 in Shiner, Texas to parents, Louis Drabek and Francis (Mikish) Drabek, and passed away October 7, 2014 in Houston, Texas. He moved to Houston when he was 20 years old and had a successful career in sales. He retired from the Houston Post in 1985 and moved to Livingston where he enjoyed fishing, gardening, woodworking and family reunions serving his special BBQ. He has been a member of Goodrich United Methodist Church since 1985. He is preceded in death by his parents; one sister; four brothers; and first wife, Louise (MeMi) Drabek.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Lillie Drabek of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Wayne and Kelvia Ford of Houston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Rudy and Donna Drabek of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Mark Ford, Doug Ford, Dawn Stillwell, Staci Atchison and Scott Drabek; 10 great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild and numerous other relatives and friends.
