Graveside services for Eddie Strapps, 72, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Friday, May 20, 2022 at 10:00 a.m. in the Bluff Creek Cemetery in Livingston, Texas with Bro. David Branson officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #8568. Visitation will be held from 5:00 - 8:00 p.m., on Thursday, May 19, 2022 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Eddie was born August 1, 1949 in Freeport, Texas to parents, William Edward Strapps and Lillie Mae (Small) Strapps, and passed away May 15, 2022 in Livingston, Texas.He is preceded in death by his parents. During his life, Eddie proudly served his country in the United States Army.

He is survived by his wife, Clara (Hunter) Strapps of Livingston, Texas; son, Ricky Dykes of Phoenix, Arizona; daughter, Angie Strapps of Livingston, Texas; father-in-law, Robert Hunter of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Krystina Dykes, Kira Dykes, Kodi Dykes, Chance Cantrell, Charlie Cantrell, Layla Cantrell and Lylah Cantrell; sisters, Sherry Strapps of Iowa, Louisiana, Barbara Strapps of Menifee, California; brothers and sisters-in-law, George Buckalew and Teresa of Buda, Texas, Mike Buckalew and Carla of Cove, Texas; brother, Joe Paul Buckalew of Iowa, Louisiana; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
