Obituary
Funeral services for Edell Walker, 82, of Livingston, Texas will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Robert Johnson, Bishop Raford Chimney, and Rev. Joe Jackson officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Andrews Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, March 21, 2015 beginning at 8:00 a.m. until service begins in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. Walker was born March 31, 1932 in Onalaska, Texas to parents, Henderson Walker and Thelma Gladys (Hooey) Walker, and passed away March 16, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. During his life, he was a member Livingston Church of God in Christ Brotherhood and a member of the male choir. He is preceded in death by his parents; wife, Holestine (Rice) Walker; brothers, Andrew Stephens, James Albert Stephens, Joe Louis Stephens; and sister, Addie Mae Stephens.
He is survived by his wife, Anna Walker of Livingston, Texas; daughters, Gloria A. Lewis of Livingston, Texas, Mary Gladys Wyatt of Houston, Texas; grandchildren, Antoinette Wyatt, LaNitta Wyatt, Ira Joe Wyatt, Travis Wyatt, and Brandon Lewis; seven great-grandchildren; brothers, Melvin Stephens and Marvin Stephens both of Livingston, Texas; sister, Rose Mary Stephens of Livingston, Texas; nieces, Sabinetta Stephens, Stephanie Stephens, Shana Jackson, and Sabrina Jackson; nephews, Sabin Stephens, Donte Stephens, and Steve Jackson; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
Pallbearers: Steven Jackson, Sabin Stephens, Ira Wilson, Edwin Gray, Morgan Wyatt Jr.
