Edmond Forest Bender 87 of Livingston passed away Wednesday June 25, 2008 in Houston. Funeral services will be held Friday June 27, 2008 at 4:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Frank Hood officiating. Visitation will be Thursday June 26, 2008 from 5:00PM until 9:00PM also in the Cochran Funeral Home. Military Honors will be given by VFW Post #8568.
He was born May 6, 1921 in Eagle Lake, Texas to parents Lawrence Lewis Bender and Emily Beckman Bender. Edmond proudly served our country in WWII from 1942 until 1945. He was a life time member of the VFW Post #8568, and was a member of the Trinity Masonic Lodge #14 AF/AM
Edmond is survived by his wife Virginia Bender of Livingston, daughters Florence Parker and husband Karl of Lake Jackson, Beverly Gregory and husband Larry of Deer Park, Lenelle Deaville and husband Isaac of Livingston, Ann Munn and husband Bill of Spring, son Norman French Jr. of Livingston, and sister Helen Stewart of Chappell Hill. He is also survived by his grandson John David Parker of Louisiana and granddaughter Lora Hoke of Washington State. A host of other grandchildren and great grandchildren survived him as well.
Serving as pallbearers will be Donald Noack, Bill Munn, Wayne Flannery, Woodrow Nelson, Karl Parker, Larry Gregory, John David Parker, Larry Stewart, and Willie Lawson.
