Edward Romano "Buddy" Parker was born on August 15, 1948 to Leo and Mae Ola Parker. Buddy, as most knew him, passed away at his home on December 23, 2023.

Buddy moved to Texas in 1966 where he attended Spurger High School, graduating in 1967. This is where he met the love of his life, Lucy. They married in November 1968. After marriage, Buddy went to work for Automatic Electric. They traveled all over the United States with AE before hiring on with General Telephone & Electronics, eventually moving to Caracas, Venezuela for two years. In 1988, they moved to Florida where he worked for Siemens for 19 years before retiring to Livingston, Texas in 2007.

Buddy loved living on the lake though he never fished. He just found the water to be very peaceful.

Buddy loved fast cars - as many of his high school friends could attest. Who knows how many were in on the "timed" runs from Spurger to Hillister! He still had his 1993 red Ford Mustang. He hadn't driven it much recently but it was fast.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Reverend Leo B. and Mae Ola Parker.

Buddy is survived by his wife of 55 years, Lucy Jordan Parker; their two beautiful daughters, Tina Parker of Dallas, Texas and Karrie Shealy, her husband Kyle and the best two grandsons ever, Parker and Levi, of Dahlonega, Georgia; his sisters Peggy Wooten and April Parker of Livingston, Texas, as well as his beloved extended family and many friends across the country.

A memorial service is planned on Friday, December 29, 2023 at 2pm at Beech Creek Baptist Church in Spurger, Texas.
