Funeral services for Edwin G. Hopson, 81, of Goodrich, Texas, will be held Sunday, April 10, 2016 at 3:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Calobe Isaac officiating. Military honors will be conducted by the VFW Post #8568. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Visitation will be held Saturday, April 9, 2016 from 6:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Mr. Hopson was born June 9, 1934 in Onalaska, Texas to parents, Milam Hopson and Lorana (Pogue) Hopson and passed away April 7, 2016 in Goodrich, Texas. During his life, he proudly served his country in the United States Air Force. He is preceded in death by his parents; and brothers, James Hopson, Carol Dean Hopson, and Albert Hopson.

He is survived by his wife, Frankie Hopson of Goodrich, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Waymon Foxworth of Livingston, Texas; son, Edwin Lynn Hopson of Goodrich, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Tina and Marlon McGown of Goodrich, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Tommy and Lillie Hopson of Goodrich, Texas; sister, Lometa King of Livingston, Texas; brothers and sisters-in-law, M.J. Hopson and Sharon of Livingston, Texas, Dan and Jean Hopson of Livingston, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Patricia and Ebb Lee of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Elise Hicks, Stephen Foxworth, Jeremy Hopson, Joshua Paul Hopson, Christina Peters, Jason McGown, Cody Hopson, and Joshua Thomas Hopson; 15 great-grandchildren; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
