Memorial services for Eleanor King Nelson, 98, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Saturday, March 3, 2018 at 2:00 p.m. in the Escapees Care Center in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Ray Gearing officiating.

Mrs. Nelson was born March 19, 1919 in New York, New York to parents, Lyman Irving King and Fances Louise (Thayer) King, and passed away February 22, 2018 in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her husband, Wilber "Bill" Nelson; parents; and sister, Eunice Jackson.

She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Joan and Thomas Marshall of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, James and Linda Verkuil of Ojai, California; granddaughter, Janet Catlett of Ojai, California; granddaughter, Lori Farrar of Ojai, California; grandson and spouse, Christopher and Kim Catlett of Ojai, California; grandson and spouse, Kevin and Heidi Verkuil of Phoenix, Arizona; granddaughter and spouse, Sarah and Brian Turner of Ojai, California; twelve great grandchildren; one great-great grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
