Funeral services for Eliga Burks, 73, of Livingston, Texas will be held Tuesday, April 12, 2022 at 2:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Calvin Bogan officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Rose Cemetery. Visitation will be held from12:00 p.m. until the service begins at 2:00 p.m. in the funeral home.

Eliga was born November 14, 1948 in Saratoga, Texas to parents, Aden Burks and Emma Marie (Belcher) Burks, and passed away April 7, 2022 in Jasper, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Matthew Sellers; and sisters, Lillie Mae Wilson and Sibbie Kimes.

He is survived by his wife, Bonny Burks of Livingston; daughters, Cindy Williams and husband, Steven, Sarah Istre, Misty Burks, Pricilla Burks, and Virginia Flores and husband, Cody all of Livingston; sons, Ethan Burks of Livingston, and Joshua Sellers of New Jersey; sisters, Caroline Lewis also of Livingston, Maggie McClendon and Earline Brock both of Corrigan; brothers, Jerry Burks and wife, Kim, and William Burks all of Livingston; grandchildren, Bobby, Jessalynn, Kendra, Seth, Ryan, Skyler, Savean, Jacob, Logan, Lillie, Abby, Niki, Michelle, and Jayden; as well as 12 great-grandchildren and numerous other relatives and a host of friends.
