Funeral services for Elissie Bell John, 88, of Tyler, Texas, will be held Monday, February 17, 2020, at 10:00 a.m. in the First Texas Indian Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Roy Jernigan officiating. Interment will be follow in the First Texas Indian Baptist Cemetery. Visitation will begin at 6:00 p.m., Sunday, February 16, 2020 in the church.

Mrs. John was born September 14, 1931 in Livingston, Texas to parents, Eddie J. Celestine and Phoebie (Jessie) Celestine, and passed away February 14, 2020 in Tyler, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tom John; sons, Harold Evans John and Ronald Wayne John; brothers, Walter Celestine, Kinley Celestine, and Clyde Jamison Celestine, and sisters, Isabelle Robinson, Irene Abbey, Adele Ann Williams, and Shirley Sylestine.

She is survived by her daughter, Marcella Carrasco and husband, Eli of Tyler, Texas; son, Gregory Wayne John of Tyler, Texas; grandchildren, Jason Carrasco and wife, Jessie, Jeremy Carrasco, Sierra Carrasco, Crystal Starr, Gregg Greywolff John, Alex Thunder John, Jordan Hawk John and wife, Kelly, and Carrie Joy; and brother, Eddie F. Celestine and wife, Rose of Flagstaff, Arizona; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
