Funeral services for Elizabeth Ray Pounds, 77, of Corrigan, Texas will be held Thursday, January 27, 2022, in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Dr. Ross Shelton and Pastor Jordan Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery in the Barnum Community, Corrigan, Texas. Visitation will be held Wednesday, January 26, 2022, from 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home.

Mrs. Liz was born March 29, 1944, in Knoxville, Tennessee to parents, Jack Sharp and Juanita (Carmichael) Sharp, and passed away January 22, 2022, in Baytown, Texas. She was a homemaker all of her life. She was married to the love of her life, George Alvin Pounds, for 57 plus years until he went to be with the Lord in 2017. Her children were blessed to call her mama and loved her dearly. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, George A. Pounds; and brothers, David Sharp and Gordon Sharp.

She is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, Todd and Chyrl Pounds; daughter and fiancé, Bethany Wright and Ray Gibson; daughter, Rachel Pounds; son and fiancé, Joel Pounds and Amanda Anders; and son, Jonathan Pounds; grandchildren, Elizabeth and Adam Grissom, Amber and Jae Tunello, Ashtin and Chris Robertson, Zach and Rebekah Pounds, Kristyn Wright and Adam Engle, Skye and Vanessa Rowland, Cassidy Wright, Alyssa and Hector Lopez, Chelsea and Brantley Connor, Rachael and Zachary Brown, Jayden Pounds, Zeeva Pounds-Ince, and Arabella Pounds; 20 great grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Anna and Jerry Cruea; sister, Charlotte Clevenger; sister and brother-in-law, Sally and Jerry Lee; sister, Julia York; and special aunt, Rachel Hayes and husband Ken; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
