Ella Mae Smelley, age 63 of Livingston, Texas, passed away on April 12, 2013, in Livingston. Ella was born on May 13, 1949, in Gravelly, Arkansas, to parents John Henry and Maggie Jewel Johnson Ogden.

Ella is preceded in death by both of her parents; along with numerous brothers, sisters and sisters-in-law, Billy Ray Odgen, Curtis Ogden and wife Susie, Burt Ogden and wife Dorothy, Charles Lee Ogden, Bordal Ogden, Frank Ogden, Lillie Mae Ogden, Jay Ogden, Annie Ogden, Booty Hance, Vider Ogden, and Lourena Kitchens. She is survived by husband, Clyde Smelley, of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Stacey Smelley and Cindy, of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Shannon Smelley and Christy, of Livingston, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, Tracey Smelley and Tosha, of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Brittany Durham and husband Dustin, Brad Smelley, Casey Smelley, Maggie Smelley; great-grandchildren, Brilee Durham and Bentlee Durham; brother and sister-in-law, Birdell Ogden, of Colmesneil, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Ruby Loftin and Vernon, of Onalaska, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Brenda Kelso and Ken, of Livingston, Texas; sister, Fannie Pearl Holden, of San Antonio, Texas; sister-in-law, Louise Odgen, of Livingston, Texas; brother-in-law, Willie Hance, of Sam Rayburn; great-niece, Anneliese Katherine Hartmann; great-nephew, Justin Cobb; numerous other relatives and friends.

Ella will be escorted to her grave by pallbearers, Dusty Ogden, Ricky Black, Jody Booth, John Booth, Rayborn Hance, Shane Nelson, Eddie Black, Henry Ogden, Rusty Reed, Bill Reed, Hunter Black, and L. Rick Black. Honorary pallbearers will be, Casey Smelley, Bradly Smelley, Dustin Durham, Maggie Smelley, Brittany Durham, Brittany Minks, Haley Reed, Mikey Patrick, and Ronnie Loper.

Services for Ella Mae Smelley will be held Monday, April 15, 2013, at 11:00 AM, at Cochran Funeral Home, in Livingston, Texas. Rev. Tim Thompson will be officiating the service. Interment will follow the service at Peebles Cemetery, also in Livingston.

Visitation will be held Sunday, April 14, 2013, at 6:00 PM, at Cochran Funeral Home.
