Obituary

Elmer Gene Robison was born January 31, 1932 in Pryor, Oklahoma to parents, Ivan and Leona Robison. He passed away peacefully at his home on August 5, 2016 after a short illness. The funeral service will be held Monday, August 8, 2016 at 10:00 a.m. at Cochran Funeral Home, with Elder Algie Kilgore and Marilynn Gibson officiating. Interment will follow in the Forest Hill cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held Sunday, August 7, 2016 from 5:00 – 9:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Elmer served two years in the United States Army and was discharged as Corporal. It was during his time of service that he visited Texas with an army buddy and future brother-in-law, Algie Kilgore, and was introduced to his wife of 61 years, Beulah Stephens. Elmer was a distributor for The Houston Post (and later The Houston Chronicle) for over 20 years. He was also involved in numerous other business ventures. Elmer is preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Robison; sister, Mary Ellen Wilson; and brother-in-law, Dud Wilson.

He is survived by his wife, Beulah Robison; sister and brother-in-law, Wanda and Algie Kilgore; daughters and sons-in-law, Kathy Timmons and Terry, Hilda Brown and David; sons and daughter-in-law, Don Robison and Stephanie, and Gene Robison; daughter-in-law, Timothie Robison; grandchildren, Clint Cox and Tisha, Chelsea Truelove and Jonathan, Timberly Treuter and Ryan, Jeremy Wood and Krystal, Jordan Wood and Heather, Duston Brown and Holly, Peyton Robison, Camryn Robison, Carson Robison, Madison Robison, Destiny Hartmann, and Breah Hartmann; 16 great grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

Pallbearers: Clint Cox, Ryan Treuter, Jeremy Wood, Jordan Wood, Duston Brown, Jonathan Truelove, Carson Robison, Ashton Cox, Cameron Hutto.
