Obituary
Funeral services for Elsie E. Downing, 76, of Point Blank, Texas, will be held Friday, September 26, 2014 at 2:00 p.m. in the Point Blank Baptist Church in Point Blank, Texas with Rev. Mickey Fountain officiating. Visitation will be held Thursday September 25, 2014 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas.
Mrs. Downing was born April 22, 1938 in Butler, Pennsylvania to parents, Frank B. Rinker and Bertha (Thompson) Rinker, and passed away September 21, 2014 in Point Blank, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; daughter, Tonda Lou Kessler; brothers, Frankie Rinker, Dean Rinker, Melvin Rinker; and sister, Katherine Rinker.
She is survived by her husband, "Jack" John Downing of Point Blank, Texas; sons, Terry Downing of Point Blank, Texas, Cliff Downing of Lompoc, California, Harold Downing of New Castle, Pennsylvania; daughters, Francis Downing of Pearland, Texas, Nancy Crnkovie of Houston, Texas, Jackie McComb of New Castle, Pennsylvania; grandchildren, Leslie Montamayor, Tany Reyna, Cody Kellos, Hilary Kessler, John Downing, James Downing, Jud McComb, Jed McComb, Quincy McComb, Tim Reed; 7 great grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
