Obituary
Funeral services for Elsie Evelyn Mahaffey, 83, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Monday, June 20, 2016 at 1:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Interment will follow in the Center Grove Cemetery in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will begin at 12:30 p.m. until service begins.
Mrs. Mahaffey was born on March 20, 1933 in Hortense, Texas to parents, Alver Edward Smith and Annie Louise (Barringer) Smith and passed away on June 16, 2016 in Humble, Texas. During her life, she loved spending time with her grandkids and was known to be a great cook. She is preceded in death by her husband, William Andrew Mahaffey; her parents; sons, Michael Mahaffey, John Mahaffey and Paul Mahaffey; brothers, Norman Smith and Clarence Smith.
She is survived by her daughter, Kathy Patrick of Bertram, Texas; granddaughters, Jennifer Burns, Crystal Greene, and Carrie Garner; grandson, Heath Mahaffey; granddaughters, April Hermann, Melissa Cook, and Kimberly Mahaffey; grandsons, Christopher Mahaffey and John Mahaffey; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Edward Wayne Smith and Kenneth Lee Smith; and sisters, Ramona Ann Petrovich and Lori Alverine Cochran; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimer's Association.
