Obituary
Funeral services for Emanuel Mann Collins age 91 of Rye, Texas will be held Monday May 9, 2011 at 2:00 PM in the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Rev. Anthony Rhodes and Nick Nickhum officiating. Interment will follow in the Holley Grove Cemetery. Pallbearers are Jesse Rhodes, Dwight Rhodes, Dale Bailey, Joe Delbert Collins, Watson Harold Collins, and Steven Majeski.
He was born January 7, 1920 in Rye, Texas the son of Richard Collins and Minellia ""Matthews"" Collins and passed away May 5, 2011 in Cleveland, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, Richard Collins and Minellia ""Matthews"" Collins, wife, Mamie ""Bailey"" Collins, brothers, Watson Collins and wife, Ida Mae, A.R. Collins and wife Avie Mae, Lavaler ""Collins"" Rhodes and husband, Norris Rhodes, sister-in-law, Avie Mae Collins.
Emanuel was a graduate of Livingston High school and retired after 40 years of service with the Southern Pacific Railroad. He served three years in the air force in the South Pacific during World War II and he was an active member of the First Baptist Church Wild Country.
He is survived by numerous nieces and nephews, sister-in-law, Bernice Collins and other relatives also survive.
