Obituary
Funeral services for Emma Fay Newman, 82, of Goodrich, Texas, will be held Saturday, August 23, 2014 at 11:00 a.m. in the First United Methodist Church in Goodrich, Texas with Rev. Wade Floyd and Rev. Louie Armstrong officiating. Visitation will be held Friday, August 22, 2014 beginning at 5:00 p.m. in Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mrs. Newman was born August 10, 1932 in Scoby, Mississippi to parents, Richard Holland and Effie (Thomas) Holland, and passed away August 21, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. She was married for 59 years to her husband A.C. Newman and was devoted to her family. She loved her church and flowers, and worked for a long time in the garden department at Jackson's True Value. She is preceded in death by her parents; and three brothers.
She is survived by her husband, A.C. Newman of Goodrich, Texas; sons, Jerry Newman of Livingston, Texas, Terry Newman of Dickenson, Texas, Mike Newman of Austin, Texas, Kenneth Newman of Goodrich, Texas, Randy Newman of Goodrich, Texas; daughters, Judy Kennon of Center, Texas, Linda Newman of Goodrich, Texas; grandchildren, Tera, James, Sarah, Bernadette, Andy, Dawn, Shaun, John, Lydia, Matthew, Elvis, Kim, Kimberly, Steven, Randy Jr., Haley, and Evan; 22 great grandchildren; brothers, Paul Holland of Gernada, Mississippi, Rainey Holland of Tulsa, Oklahoma; sister, Bonnie Morgan of Greenwood, Mississippi; and numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
