Services Emogene Trilby Shelton, 92, of Coldspring, Texas will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 10:00 a.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Dalton Currie officiating. Interment will be held Friday, December 8, 2023, at 1:00 p.m., at Brookside Cemetery in Houston, Texas. Visitation will be held Thursday, December 7, 2023, from 6:00-8:00 p.m., at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

Emogene was born September 20, 1931 in Houston, Texas and passed away December, 3, 2023 in Coldspring, Texas. She was preceded in death by her parents, Harlen Madison Selph and Isla Dow (Cox) Selph; husband, Virgil Wayne Shelton; son, Virgil Wayne Shelton, Jr.; brothers, Walton Alfred Selph and Madison Dow Selph; and granddaughter, Melissa Howell.

She is survived by her sons, Paul Shelton and wife Barbara of Cold Spring, Texas, and Jeffrey Shelton of Angleton, Texas; grandchildren, Stephanie Wilson, Summer Nichole Shelton, Stephen Larry Steele, Robert Morris Steele, and Michael Ray Steele; and great grandchildren, Sonny Howard Boe, Sadie Lynn Boe, Brittany Julianna Horner, Emma Kathleen Horner, Gabriella Jeanean Wilson, Natalie Kate Wilson, Nathan Kent Wilson, Serenity Faith Howell, Alexandra Pamela Howell, Mary Angelica Steele, Nicholas Stephen Steele, Larry James Steele, David Wayne Steele, Draven Michael Steele, and Billy Wayne Howard; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
