Funeral services for Enneth Murphy, 83 of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 11:00 AM, Tuesday, May 27, 2014 at Camp Ruby Community Church in Livingston, Texas with Bro. Robert Smith officiating. Interment will follow at Camp Ruby Cemetery. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Honor Guard Post #8568.
Enneth Murphy was born in 1930, at Village Mills to Lillie Mae and Eual Murphy on September 26. Enneth was raised in Polk County all of his life. He went to Big Sandy School and played all kinds of sports while in school. After graduation, he joined the Marines, where he served proudly and was honorably discharged after his tour of duty was over. He went to Houston in 1953, working at Hughes Ford Company, there he met his future wife, Bobbylene; they become engaged and married in October of 1954. To this union, two children were born, a daughter, Cindy and a son, Darrell. After being laid off, Enneth moved his young family to Polk County and Camp Ruby became home again. Then he went to work at several jobs and the Highway Department was hiring, he got a job, and there he stayed for 26 years, until his retirement in 1992. He loved hunting, fishing, and his family. In 1988, he surrendered his life to Christ and loved working for the Lord's service. His life took a new and wonderful turn.
Enneth is survived by his daughter, Cindy and husband, Mike Nichols of Tomball, Texas; son, Darrell and wife, Sharon Murphy of Camp Ruby, Texas; two grandchildren, Autumn and husband, John Cox of Camp Ruby; one grandson, Kabe and wife Chelsea Murphy of Camp Ruby; six great-grandchildren, Chloe, Paige, Lev and Hayes Cox of Camp Ruby, Eli and Dax Murphy of Camp Ruby; sister, Murel Welch of the Bradford in Livingston; sister-in-law, Audra Murphy of Livingston; a host of wonderful friends, nieces, nephews, and his Midway Church Family.
