Funeral services for Erika Irmguard Vavra, 91, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Monday, January 7, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Onalaska, Texas with Bro. Allen Bramlett officiating. Interment will be held in the Resthaven Memorial Park Cemetery in Corsicana, Texas at 3:30 p.m. on Monday, January 7, 2019. Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until the service begins at 10:00 a.m. at Cochran Funeral Home in Onalaska, Texas.

Mrs. Vavra was born on May 16, 1927 in Burgau, Germany, to parents, Ewrin Gunther and Gertrud (Ditimann) Gunther, and passed away on January 1, 2019 in Livingston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her parents; and husband, Joe Vavra.

She is survived by her daughter, Rose Miracle of Cincinnati, Ohio; son, Jeff Vavra of Onalaska, Texas; son, Tim Vavra of Nacogdoches, Texas; brother, Hans Gunther of Germany; and 7 grandchildren; along with numerous great-grandchildren, other relatives and friends.
