Funeral Services for Ernest Alvin Dobson, age 61 of Coldspring, Texas, will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Bro. Jimmy ""JC"" Charles will conduct the service. Following the chapel service, interment will be held at Loral Hill Cemetery in Coldspring, TX. Pallbearers are: James Caldwell, Jerry Harrell, Paul Christopher, Pete Philips, Gary Gibbs and David Gibbs.
Ernest was born on January 13, 1951, in Cleveland, Texas, to parents, Lelland Mitchell Dobson and Alla B. Street Dobson. He married Mary Marie Gibbs on August 10, 1971, in Cleveland, Texas.
Ernest is preceded in death by his parents, Lelland Mitchell Dobson and Alla B. Dobson; grandson, Leland Mitchell Dobson. He is survived by his wife, Mary Dobson; son and daughter-in-law, Timothy & Teresa Dobson, daughter, Patricia Dobson and son, Johnny Dobson; grandson, Daine Armstrong, grandson; Timothy J. Dobson, grandson; Jonathan Ball, grandson; Jonah Ball, granddaughter; Shelia Bounds, granddaughter; Jesse Bounds, grandson; Elisha Decock, granddaughter; Harry Decock, granddson; Jonathan Dobson, grandson; and Jason Dobson, grandson; Debra Dobson, sister; Bobby Dobson, brother; Linda Dobson, sister; many cousins , nieces and nephews.
