Funeral Services for Ernest Alvin Dobson, age 61 of Coldspring, will be held at 10:00 AM on Thursday, July 5, 2012, at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas with Jimmy ""JC"" Charles officiating the services. Interment will follow in the Loral Hill Cemetery in Coldspring. Visitation will be held Wednesday evening at the Cochran Funeral Home beginning at 5:00 PM. Pallbearers are James Caldwell, Jerry Harrell, Paul Christopher, Pete Philips, Gary Gibbs and David Gibbs.

Ernest was born on January 13, 1951, in Cleveland, to parents, Lelland Mitchell Dobson and Alla B. (Street) Dobson and passed away on June 30, 2012, in Coldspring, Texas. He is preceded in death by his Grandson, Leland Mitchell Dobson.



He is survived by his Wife, Mary (Gibbs) Dobson; Son, Timothy Dobson and wife, Teresa; Daughter, Patricia Dobson; Son, Johnny Dobson, Grandsons, Daine Armstrong, Timothy J. Dobson, Jonathan Ball, Jesse Bounds, Jonathan Dobson and Jason Dobson; Granddaughters, Jonah Ball, Shelia Bounds, Elisha Decock and Harry Decock; Sisters, Debra and Linda Dobson; Brother, Bobby Dobson. Many cousins, nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends, also survive.
