Funeral services for Eugene Anthony Gilshenan of Livingston will be held March 18, 2010 at 1:00pm at the First United Methodist Church in Livingston with Dr. Don Willis officiating and interment to follow in the Peebles Cemetery.

Mr. Gilshenan passed away on March 12, 2010 at The Bradford in Livingston. He was born on April 12, 1917 in West New Brighton, Staten Island, New York the son of Eugene Anthony Gilshenan and Marie S. Auchter.

He married Gertrude Tyler Daun on May 10, 1946 in St. Augustine, Florida.

Mr. Gilshenan was at Manila in the Phillipine Islands when it was bombed and served during World War II in the Submarine Service in Southwest Pacific.

He retired from the U.S. Navy after 20 years of service on September 1, 1955 at Orange, Texas and then retired from Rohm & Haas Texas. Inc. in Deer Park, Texas in May 1976 after 21 years.

He is survived by his wife Gertrude Tyler Gilshenan of Livingston, Thomas R. Daun, son of Dallas, Judith Ann Webster, daughter of Brenham, Texas, Jolene Blakeley, daughter of San Antonio, Texas, Raymond Gilshenan, son of Livingston and Michael Gilshenan, son of Calistoga, California, Boots McNally, sister of Middleton, N.J., Virginia McNally, sister of Middleton, N.J., numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren also survive.
