Obit for Eva June Freeman
Eva June Marsh Freeman, was born on August 17, 1936, to parents June Cameron Marsh and Sara Alice Williams Marsh in Livingston, Texas. She passed away on May 24, 2012 in Livingston, Texas. Eva June graduated from Sam Houston University in 1957 and taught school in the Polk County schools. She taught 4th grade Math and Science in Big Sandy I.S.D; taught Homemaking in the Livingston I.S.D. and in the Leggett I.S.D. ""Susan'"" a well known children' store in Livingston was owned and operated by Eva June for several years. Many grandparents in the Polk County area were fortunate to have had their children touched by her gracious and gentle teaching method in a class room, and remember with fondness dressing not only their children, but then their grandchildren from ""Susan'"". She was a past-president of the Chamber of Commerce; charter member of Order of The Confederate Rose; and enjoyed civil war re-enactments for many years.
Eva June is preceded in death by her parents, June and Alice Marsh; husband, Nelson Freeman; grandson, William Freeman; and sister, Alice Jane Marsh. She is survived by son, Jimmy Freeman and girl friend Tonyia of Leggett, Texas; son and daughter-in-law, David and Chris Freeman of Leggett, Texas; daughter and son-in-law, Susan and Joe Dan Crawford of Center Grove, Texas; sister and brother-in-law, Lynda and Bill Trichel of Madisonville, Texas; grandchildren, Josh Freeman, Misty and Jeffery Hunter, Dan Crawford and his fianc??, Kasey McLendon, and Amanda Crawford; great grandchild, Kelton Freeman; nephews and their wives, Mark and Brenda Trichel, Stephen and Dawn Trichel; great niece and her husband, Ashley and Michael Lawless.
Funeral Service for Eva June will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, May 27, 2012, at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Services will be conducted by Bro. Howard Daniels. Internment will follow the chapel service at Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston, Texas.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, May 26, 2012, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, beginning at 5:00 PM.
