Everett Wesley Shelton age 56 of Goodrich passed way Friday December 11, 2009 in Houston. Funeral services will be Saturday December 19, 2009 at 2:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev.. Kenneth Mayo officiating. Burial will follow in the Restland Memorial Park. Vitiation will be Friday December 18, 2009

Everett was born June 25, 1953 in Houston to parent Elmer Erlil Shelton and Helen Darcus Johnson Shelton Berryhill. He worked for many years as a sheet rock worker. He is preceded in death by his parents, and fiance Vicky Singleton.

He is survived by his children Cory Shelton and wife Wendy of Alabama, Violet Medina and husband Joseph of Houston, siblings Barbara Gillespie and husband Reggie of Goodrich, Bess Insall and husband Gene of Livingston, Jane Howard and husband Andrew of Livingston, Gilbert Shelton and wife Sherry of Georgia, Lynn Howard and husband Vernon of Livingston and Ray Shelton of Houston, step father M.C. Berryhill of Livingston, grandchildren Sidney Shelton, Cory Shelton Jr., Joey Medina, and Hanna Medina. He is also survived by numerous nieces, nephews and other relatives.

Serving as pallbearers will be Grady Roberts, Mike Roberts, Donald Kennery, Thomas Howard, Bobby Insall, Karson Ekloff, Benny Wilkerson, Robert Beaty, and Robert Beaty Jr, honorary pallbearer will be Bobby Seamon.
