Memorial service for Everette Lee Lawson, 79, of Goodrich, Texas, will be held Saturday, April 25, 2015 at 10:00 a.m. in the Goodrich Methodist Church in Goodrich, Texas with Pastor Wade officiating.

Mr. Lawson was born October 23, 1935 in Liberty, Texas to parents, William H. Lawson and Essie (Walker) Lawson, and passed away April 1, 2015 in Livingston, Texas. He proudly served his country in the United States Marine Corp. He loved his family and has left them with many wonderful memories and tall tales. Everette was the founder of the Goodrich Fire Department, a member of the Lions Club and also a member of the Goodrich School Board. He is preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Dorothy, Helen, Earlyn; and brother, Sellers Roy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Emma Lawson of Goodrich, Texas; brothers, Don and Jimmy; special nephew, Allen Hall and wife, Lajeanne; his babes, Adam Hall, Bobby Hall, Charlsie Hall, Meggin Elstner, Robin Durrett, Savanah Hall; nieces and nephews, Tommy, George, Ron, Rex, Shirley, Norma, and Judy, and numerous other nieces, nephews, relatives and friends.
