Funeral services for Felder Duff age 83 of Livingston, Texas will be held Tuesday March 8, 2011 at 11:00 AM in the chapel of Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston with Rev. Frank Aragon officiating. Interment to follow in the Carmona Cemetery in Corrigan, Texas. Pallbearers will be Amos Duff II, Andy Duff, Mickey Hollingworth, Edward Stricklind, Tim Skinner and Robert Wood.
He was born June 12, 1927 in Camp Ruby, Texas the son of Amos and Alice Kervin Duff and passed away March 3, 2011 in Lufkin, Texas. Felder was the youngest of 22 children. He was preceded in death by his parents. His wife, Gladys on September 16, 2005 and 20 brothers and sisters.
He started working for W.T. Carter and Bros. at the age of 14 in Camp Ruby, Texas and continued working for them in Camden, Texas at Champion until he retired in 1993 after 48 years. He was a beloved husband, father, grandfather, son, brother and uncle. God gifted him as a songwriter and musician who loved to sing in church. He was devoted to his family and married Gladys Brooks on June 9, 1951 in Livingston, Texas by L.A. Richardson. He love to hunt and fish with his sons.
He is survived by his sister Abby Aline Duff of Huntington, Texas, Amos R. Duff I, son of Livingston, Robert Duff and wife Mary, son and daughter in law of Corrigan, Texas, grandchildren; Leah Duff Oates, of Corrigan, Latisha Duff Wood and husband Donald of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Cassie Duff Taylor and husband Joel of Tulsa, Oklahoma, Amos R. Duff II of Livingston and Andy R. Duff of Livingston. Step grandchildren; Michael Johnson of St. Petersburg, Fl., Dawn Johnson Meese and husband Justin of Sheridan, WY., April Johnson of Corrigan, and Amanda Johnson of Corrigan, great grandchildren; Joseph Oates, Caleb Oates and Alex Nobles, of Corrigan, Robert ""Dakota"" Wood of Tahlequah, Oklahoma, Gabriel, Makayla & Elijah Taylor of Tulsa, Ok., Amos III, Zachary & Alley Duff of Baytown, Texas and Caitlin Duff of Houston. Step great grandchildren; Levi Johnson, of Corrigan and Mercedez Meece of Sheridan, WY. Special nephew and niece, Michael ""Mickey"" & Barbara Raines Hollingworth of Bald Hill, Texas as well as countless nieces, nephews, cousins and friends also survive.
