Ferris Gene ""Jim"" Hon 68, of Livingston passed away Wednesday March 31, 2009. Funeral services were held 10:00AM Saturday April 4, 2009 in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Glen Price and Rev. Harral Dunnam officiating. Burial followed in the Center Grove Cemetery.
Jim was born October 12, 1940 to parents Lee and Nova Lee David Hon. He proudly served our country in the United States Army. Jim was very devoted to his family and his many friends. His passion was his music which he joyfully shared with others along with other selfless kindness and generosity. He was witty, plain-spoken and possessed a unique sense of humor that brought smiles and laughter to those who know him. He was dearly loved and will be greatly missed.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years Rita Hon of Livingston, son William Lee Hon Sr. and wife Juliana of Livingston, daughter Laura Hon-Webb and husband Terry of Cedar Park, grandchildren Caroline Hon of Livingston, William Lee Hon Jr. of Livingston, Carson Elizabeth Hon of Livingston, Kylie Seaback of Cedar Park, Allison Langley of Livingston, and Tim Langley of Livingston. He is also survived by his brother David Hon and wife Flaudie of Livignston, and sisters Nora Beth McQueen and husband Frank of Livingston, Barbara Stuckey and husband Joe of Livingston, and special friend Nancy Greer also of Livingston.
Serving as pallbearers will be David Campbell, Paul Wilson, Ronnie Wiggins, Jared Wiggins, Kevin McGarrahan, and Joey Stuckey. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be his musician friends.
