Obituary
Funeral services for Finley Ray Masquat, 54, of Livingston, Texas, will be held at 10:00 AM, Monday, January 20, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Evangelist Joe John officiating. Interment will be held Wednesday, January 22, 2014 at Little Axe Cemetery in Shawnee, Oklahoma. Visitation will be held from 6:00 – 10:00 PM, Sunday, January 19, 2014 at Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Mr. Masquat was born on September 6, 1959 in Shawnee, Oklahoma and passed away on January 17, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. He graduated from Shawnee High School in 1977 and later worked as a cook for delis. He is preceded in death by his parents, George and Ramona (Solis) Masquat; grandparents, Charlie and Catherine Masquat; grandfather, Jose Solis; half-brother, Michael Bryce; and nephew, Isaiah Poncho.
He is survived by wife, Wanonia (Battise) Clark of Livingston, Texas; daughter, Lindsay Marie Masquat of South Dakota; five step-children, Veronica Williams, Jordan Williams, Victoria Battise, Francellia Clark, and Emma Abbey; thirteen grandchildren; sister and brother-in-law, Iola Renee Poncho and Buddy McInturff of Livingston, Texas; brother, George Masquat, Jr. of Shawnee, Oklahoma; sister, Vanessa Smith of Shawnee, Oklahoma; sister and brother-in-law, Kay and Sam Ketakea of Shawnee, Oklahoma; half-sister, Monica Kieffer of Shawnee, Oklahoma; aunts, Lula Mae Bettelyoun, Judy Wood, Matilda Thorpe, Georgia Ann McGuire, and Cheryl Masquat, all of Shawnee, Oklahoma; nephews, Shane Poncho of Livingston, Texas and Brian K. Smith of Allen, Texas; nieces, Laquita Poncho of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Naamah Poncho of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Chelcy Masquat of Edmond, Oklahoma, Courtny Finch of Denver, Colorado, Kristi Smith of Shawnee, Oklahoma, Ashley Ketakea of Shawnee, Oklahoma, and Kayla Ketakea of Shawnee, Oklahoma; along with numerous great nieces and nephews, other relatives and friends.
