Florence was born March 10, 1921 in Columbia, Illinois to Ferdinand and Eleanora (Rose) Rohm. She passed on April 29, 2017 in Livingston, Texas.
Florence received her Registered Nursing certificate in December 1942 and began working for a physician in St. Louis, MO. Soon she net the love of her life, Loren D. Eshelman and they married June 13, 1945 in St. Paul's Lutheran Church of Columbia, Ill. After WWII they began their marriage of 53 years in Houston, Texas. Florence never worked again as a nurse except to make sure her family frequently washed their hands and put antibiotic cream on any and all cuts.
She was predeceased by her parents and her husband, Loren. She is survived by her sons Dean Eshelman and wife Gloria of Livingston, TX. Bruce Eshelman and wife Christal of Montgomery, TX and former daughter-in-law Debbie Eshelman of Katy, TX. Florence was blessed with grandchildren, Christopher Eshelman (Paige) Tammy Lev, Kim Rebec, Kenny Eshelman (Jill), Lisa Heffner, (Dave), Karen Schafer (Mike) and Trevor Shearer (Mollie). Great grandchildren are Kayla and Cole Eshelman, McKenna Lev, Gracie Rebec, Jack, Katie and Annie Heffner, Olivia, Owen and Nora Schafer and Carter Shearer.
Mom and dad were always there for their children and grandchildren. Playing games of Uno and Skip-Bo, too numerous to count and competitions to see who could catch the first, biggest and most fish on Lake Livingston. They were great examples of how to live your life with love and respect for all.
Graveside services will be held at Woodlawn Cemetery, 1101 Antoine Dr. Houston, TX. 77055 on Wednesday, May 3, 2017 at 10:00 A.M.
