A visitation for Florence Elizabeth Maze will be held Saturday, December 9, 2023 from 1:00-3:00 p.m. at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.

Florence was born, November 15, 1931 in Leggett, Texas to parents Clarence Carter Tullos and Annie Elizabeth (Matthews) Tullos and passed away November 30, 2023 in Corrigan, Texas, at the age of 92. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband J.C. Maze; brother, C.C. Tullos, Jr.; sister Lorraine Stavast; brother, Lon Tullos; and sister, Doris Jean Atchley.

Florence attended Leggett High School and then graduated from Stephen F. Austin University where she earned her Bachelor's in Education. She began her teaching career in Houston, Texas and then moved to Livingston where she taught fourth grade until her retirement from the teaching profession after 25 years. Flo was also a member of Central Baptist Church in Livingston, Texas.

She is survived by her son, James Maze of Livingston, along with numerous other relatives and friends. Flo is also survived by special friends Alfredo and Carlota Saenz and their daughters Brenda and Sonia.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the Gentiva Hospice team for their compassionate care and to the staffs at Provident Memory Care and Corrigan Long Term Care for their dedicated service over the past three years.
