Funeral services for Floyd Thomas Dickens, age 79, of Livingston, Texas, will be Saturday, February 12, 2011 at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas at 2:00 PM with Bro. Robert Smith and Michael Miller officiating. Interment will follow in the Watson, Ollie Dickens Cemetery with a Masonic service. Visitation is Friday, from 5:00 PM-9:00 PM. Pallbearers are Durrell Dickens, Rex Dickens, Ross Dickens, Fred Grube, III, Scott Fraley, and Wes Miller. Honorary Pallbearers are Dr. Fred Grube, Jr. and Tom Dickens.
He was born March 5, 1931 in Dallas, Texas the son of Thomas Watson Dickens and Ollie Rhodes Dickens and passed away February 8, 2011 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents, sister, Neva Evon Dickens and a brother, Watson Oliver Dickens.
Floyd is survived by Doris Louise Murphy, wife of Livingston, Elizabeth and Michael Miller, daughter and husband of Baytown, James Paul & Marci Dickens, son and wife of Livingston, Gregory and Karen Dickens, son and wife of Huntsville, Boyd and Brenda Dickens, son and wife of Livingston, grandchildren, Rosemary and Wylie Allen of Livingston, Rex and Sarah Dickens of Livingston, Wesley Miller of Nevada, Ross and Kellye Dickens of Houston, Samantha Dickens of Livingston, Katie and David Breaux of Livingston, Jessie and Carlie Dickens of Huntsville, great grandchildren, Veronica and Danielle Dickens of Livingston, Luke Breaux of Livingston, and 2 more great grandchildren due in August and September. He is also survived by his sister, Ruby Schlottoman of Livingston, sister, Helen Grube of Estes Park, Colorado, brother, Lloyd Dickens and wife Jimmie of Livingston, brother, Doyle Dickens and wife Novel of Gatesville. Numerous other relatives and friends also survive.
