Funeral services for Floyd Thomas Simpson, 95, of Livingston, Texas will be held Sunday, May 18, 2025, from 3:30-4:30 p.m., at the First Methodist Church in Livingston, Texas. Visitation will be held on the day of service, from 3:00-3:30 p.m., at the church.

Interment will follow at Forest Hill Cemetery in Livingston. A reception will be held at the church, following the interment.

Floyd was born January 6, 1930 in Pennington, Texas and passed away May 12, 2025 in Livingston, Texas. He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lee Simpson and Myrtle (Williams) Simpson; daughter-in-law, Laura Jean Simpson; and 7 brothers and sisters.

He is survived by his wife, Patsy Simpson; children, Sandra Lynn Bounds and Ross, Gary Dean Simpson, Laura Jean Fisher and Dana, Valerie Gay McGlothlin and Jackie, Shephen Leroy Foree and Connie, and Carrie Hope Smith; grandchildren, Seth Alan McGlothlin and Ashley, Jared Lee McGlothlin and Tara, Audrey Gayle Anderson and Chris, Dustin Clarke Foree, Kendra Suzanne McEwen and Jacob, Kirk Daniel Smith, Katherine Hope Smith, Lisa Wilchek and Sean, Christi Burris and Shaun, Daniel Terry, and Joshua Terry; nephew, Charles McGowen; and sister, Lois Ann Schmidt; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
