IN LOVING MEMORY OF
Frances "Francie"
Hayden Dameron Barker
August 15, 1944 – April 13, 2022
Frances "Francie" Hayden Dameron Barker was born on August 15, 1944 and passed away on April 13, 2022.
Francie was raised in Livingston, Texas, and grew up as a member of the First United Methodist Church sitting next to her grandmother at the organ. She later moved to the choir loft becoming a life-long member of the FUMC Choir. Francie began the original Methodist telephone "Prayer Chain" that consisted of a small group of women in the church. This is now a full-blown ministry via email touching hundreds of individuals.
Francie was an advocate of the "shoulder harness", she was a lover of all animals, and she was never caught without bubble gum or chocolate for the young ones who flocked to her. She was a free spirit with strong opinions, and to know her was to love her.
Francie was preceded in death by her husband, James "Red" Barker; her mother, Mary Frances Dameron; and her grandparents, Dr. James H. and Ellie Dameron.
In lieu of flowers, contributions can be made in Francie's memory to the First United Methodist Church or the charity of your choice. A graveside service will be April 18 th at 3:00 pm Forest Hills Cemetery.
Cochran Funeral Home is in charge of the cremation. Please sign our online guestbook at www.cochranfh.com .
