Funeral services for Frances Josephine Sylestine Battise, 78, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, November 24, 2019 at 2:00 p.m. in the Alabama-Coushatta Multi-Purpose Center in Livingston, Texas with Debra Klineman officiating. Interment will follow in the Alabama -Coushatta Visitation will be held at 5:30 p.m. on Saturday, November 23, 2019 in the Alabama-Coushatta Multi-Purpose Center.

Mrs. Battise was born April 22, 1941 in Livingston, Texas, to mother, Susanna Sylestine Duhon, and passed away November 20, 2019 in Houston, Texas. She is preceded in death by her mother; husband, Lester D. Battise Sr.; sons, Kevin Battise and Lester Battise Jr.; sister, Avie Alec; and brother, Billy Frank Sylestine.

She is survived by her daughters, Teresa Battise of Livingston, Texas, and Vicki Yellowfish, and Ricky of Oklahoma; sister, Sharon Sylestine of Livingston, Texas; grandchildren, Bruce Battise Sr. and Monae, Ricky Yellowfish Jr. and Jodi, Elyssa Yellowfish and Salvador Hernandez, Dayrah Yellowfish Elizondo and Michael, Matthew Battise, Lesli Long, Peter Seahner, Maxine Silva, and Myra Sylestine; 11 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
