A Celebration of Life for Frank Edward Black Sr., 71, of Livingston, Texas will be held Friday, June 10, 2022 at 5:00 p.m. at the home of Frank and Brenda Black with Benjamin Rangel officiating.
Frank was born January 19, 1951 in Livingston, Texas to parents, Hugh and Ida Black, and passed away May 30, 2022 in Livingston, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents; siblings, Louise Wiggins, Alma Jean Cassity, Buddy Black, and Patricia Webb; and great-granddaughter, Emelia Adame. During his life, Frank grew up and attended Onalaska schools. He became a successful master electrician in which he wired many homes and businesses throughout Livingston, Polk County and the surrounding areas. He retired from his profession in 2014. Frank was a devoted husband, father, and grandfather. He was known for his unique sense of humor and his willingness to always tell a joke. Frank maintained his sense of humor all the way until the end by coming up with funny zingers. The nurses, aides, and his family enjoyed his jokes every day. Frank gave his life to Christ in 1980 and relied on his faith to get him through every life trial he encountered. He will surely be missed.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Jordan Black of Livingston; daughter, Stacy Edwards and husband, Glenn of Livingston; sons, Frank Black Jr. and Amanda of Livingston and Doug Black and wife, Wendy also of Livingston; brother, Raymond Black of Denver, Colorado; grandchildren, Jordan Adame and husband, Daniel, Cassity Rangel and husband, Benjamin, Mason Black, Mindy King and husband, Brock, Ethan Black and Jayleigh Ager, Thomas Black, and Molly Black; great-grandchildren, Gavin Black, Judah Rangel, Catherine Adame, Iris Adame, and Lindsey King; and sister-in-law, Nancy Watson; along with numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.
