Obituary

Funeral services for Frank Fawbush, 78, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Sunday, October 8, 2017 at 3:00 p.m. in the First Assembly of God Church in Livingston, Texas with Chris Borden, Robert Smith, and Rodney Goins officiating. Interment will follow in the Magnolia Cemetery in Onalaska, Texas. Military Honors will be provided by VFW Post# 8568. Visitation will begin at 5:00 p.m. on Saturday, October 7, 2017 in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.

Roy Franklin "Frank" Fawbush, Jr. was born to Roy Fawbush, Sr. and Blondell Monroe on August 31, 1939, in Livingston, Texas. Frank served in the United States Air Force from 1957 until 1963. Frank married the love of his life, Velma Eugene Barnes on April 14, 1962. Frank wore helmet #28 and was a rescue diver with the Livingston Fire Department from August 1970 until March 1977. While serving in the Air Force, Frank learned how to repair all types of motors, a skill which he used to open Fawbush Body Shop. Frank enjoyed flying airplanes, cruising with his wife, big buffets, and teaching his grandchildren how to fish and play guitar. Frank was a member of First Assembly Of God Church in Livingston, Texas, and a born-again Christian. Frank was a pillar of the Livingston community. Frank loved the Lord, his family, and the Livingston community.

Frank is survived by his loving wife of over 55 years, Velma Eugene Fawbush; his sister, Douglass Paul and husband, Lester; daughters, Dawna Smith and husband, Wesley; Deanna Bloodworth and husband, William; Frankie Fawbush; Kristie Clayton and husband, Scott; his grandchildren; Rachel Barron, and husband, John; Alexandra Smith, Scarlett Bloodworth, Franklin Gregston, Ethan Smith, Caleb Clayton, Matthew Gregston, Victoria Bloodworth, and Christian Clayton; and his great-grandchildren, Gabriel, Lorelai and Harrison Barron; Close friends, Frankie and Jerri Jean Vinci, and Marilyn Adams; and many more nieces, nephews and close friends.
