Franklin Pierce McQueen was born on March 14, 1929, at Oakland, Illinois, to Samuel Clinton and Ida Ellen McQueen, the youngest of eight Children. He is survived by wife, Nora Elizabeth Hon McQueen of sixty years; son, Frankie Lee McQueen and wife, Tammy; daughter, Janet McQueen Wiggins and husband, Ronnie; grandchildren, Julie Wiggins Lowe Boehm and husband, Kevin, Jared Wiggins, Jody McQueen and wife, Casey, Jeff McQueen and wife Randi; great grandchildren, Grant and Ava Boehm, Kenley and Kaselee McQueen; sister, Maxine Roedder and husband, Ken of Tusacola, Illinois; brother-in-law, David Hon and wife Flaudie V; sister-in-law, Barbara Stuckey and husband Joe; sister-in-law, Rita Hon; and many nieces and nephews.
Frank served in the US Air Force from 1952 to 1956. He met his beloved wife, Nora Hon in 1952. Frank worked for Crown Oil Co. in Pasadena, Texas, before returning to Livingston. He was the owner of McQueen Motors and had the Dodge Dealership for several years. Frank was currently an honorary member, past active member and past president of the Rotary Club of Livingston, also is a Paul Harris Fellow. He had the honor of inducting his daughter, Janet in 1992, to the Rotary Club of Livingston. Frank was active in many areas of First Baptist Church from 1958 until 2008, when his health began to fail. He served on the Polk County Appraisal Board, when Lake Livingston was being developed and was involved in many community activities.
Frank enjoyed hunting, RV?ÇÖing, playing 84, repairing and carpentry.
Funeral services will be held at 9:00 AM on Tuesday, March 19, 2013, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Rev. Orval Barger and Rev. Rusty Schuler will conduct the services. Interment will follow the chapel service at Center Grove Cemetery in Livingston. Pallbearers are grandchildren and great grandchildren, Julie, Kevin, Grant and Ava Boehm; Jared Wiggins and Heather Hunter; Jody, Casey, Kenley and Kaselee McQueen; Jeff and Randi McQueen; special friends, Don and Frances Golden, Perry and Candace Tornquist. Honorary pallbearers are nieces and nephews: Davie Lee McQueen, Doug and Lynn McQueen, Lee and Julianna Hon, Laura and Terry Webb, Joey and Debbie Stuckey, Kathy Stuckey, Cindy Hon, Karen and Glenn Matthews and Discipleship Sunday School Class.
Visitation will be begin at 5:00 PM on Monday, March 18, 2013, at Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas.
