Obituary
Graveside services for Rev. Franklin J.V. Woolf, 89, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Tuesday, April 4, 2017 at 1:00 p.m. in the Anticoh Cemetery in Atlanta, Texas with Rev. Fred Calhoun. Military Honors will be provided by the American Legion. Visitation will be held Monday, April 3, 2017 from 5:00 – 8:00 p.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas.
Rev. Woolf was born November 23, 1927 in Huntington, Texas to parents, Franklin Edward Woolf and Mary Amanda (Clark) Woolf, and passed away March 31, 2017 in Livingston, Texas. During his life, he proudly served his country as a Merchant Marine. He also served his Lord and Savior for over 60 years in ministry. He was a chaplain for the Livingston Volunteer Fire Department from 1973-1974 and for the Livingston Memorial Hospital. He is preceded in death by his parents; son, Gary Woolf; former wife, Vera (Cherry) Woolf; and great-granddaughter, Tala Woolf.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Woolf of Livingston, Texas; son, Joe Woolf of Atlanta, Texas; daughter, Diane Mayfield and husband, Pete of Atlanta, Texas; step-sons, Perry Morris of El Paso, Texas and Tommy Morris of Livingston, Texas; step-daughters, Cheryl Roberts and husband, Horace of New Caney, Texas, Darla Howell and husband, Neal of Cypress, Texas, and Donna Day and husband, Leonard of Tarkington, Texas; granddaughter, Melissa Wilbanks and husband, Austin of Atlanta, Texas; grandsons, Frank Woolf and wife, Denise of Atlanta, Texas, and Danny Mayfield and wife, Christy of Atlanta, Texas, granddaughters, Kalena Kolb and husband, Tom of Minnesota, and La Shanda Parkhurst and husband, Dylan of Nacogdoches, Texas; grandsons, Matthew Woolf and wife, April of Fort Bragg, North Carolina, and Mark Woolf of Livingston, Texas; great-grandchildren, Daniel Wilbanks, Jonathan Woolf, Tristan Mayfield, Chayton Woolf, Amanda Woolf, Andrew Kolb, Oliva Kolb, Lorelai Parkhurst, Pallaton Woolf, and Saige Woolf; with numerous other relatives and friends.
