Obituary
Fred J. Churchman 74 of Livingston passed away Sunday November 9, 2008 in Houston. Funeral services will be Thursday 10:00AM November 13, 2008 in the Blanchard Baptist Church with Rev. Fred Alford officiating. Burial will follow in the Forest Hill Cemetery. Visitation will be Wednesday November 12, 2008 from 6:00PM until 9:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel.
Fred was born October 10, 1934 in Palestine, to parents Albert Ralph Churchman and Allene Bryan Churchman. He married his wife of 55 years Mary Elizabeth Berryhill on July 11, 1953 in Palestine. Fred was a long time member of the Blanchard Baptist Church.
He is preceded in death by his parents, brothers A.W. (Bud) Churchman, and Carl Churchman, sisters Imogene Davis, Bonnie Richardson, Margie Nell Miller, Pearl Brown, and Dorothy Hinson, and his brother in laws C.C. Davis, T.J. Richardson,Joe Kiser, Melvin Miller, Louie Brown, and John Hinson.
Fred is survived by his loving wife Mary Churchman of Livingston, sons Ralph Churchman of Livingston, David Churchman and wife Teresa of Livingston, and Gary Wayne Churchman of Mobile, AL., brother Tommy Churchman and wife Earline of Price, sisters Dee Kiser of Palestine, and Roxie McCarty and husband Ray of Jacksonville.
He is also survived by his grandchildren Kendall Flores, Krystal Churchman, Kara Churchman, Chelsea Churchman, and Emily Churchman, great grandchild Krislynn Harwell, sister in laws Jo Francis Churchman, Christine Churchman, and his brother in law Ray McCarty.
Numerous nieces, nephews and loving family also survive him.
Serving as pallbearers will be R.E. Wortham, Freddie Matthews, Cecil Taylor, Mike Hatton, Jerry Murphy, David Churchman, Robert McGee, and Barney Carpenter.
Honorary pallbearers will be the deacons of Blanchard Baptist Church, Dr. Raymond Neuman, Jack Tyler, and Winfred Robinett.
In lieu of flowers the family has ask that you make donations to the American Arthritis foundation at Arthritis Foundation PO Box 96280 Washington, D.C. 20090-628.
