Obituary
Fred Palmer Garney 72 of Livingston passed away Wednesday June 18, 2008. Funeral services will be held Sunday June 22, 2008 at 1:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. Harold Isaacs officiating. Visitation will be Saturday June 21, 2008 from 6:00PM until 10:00PM in the Cochran Funeral Home as well.
Fred was born Saturday July 4, 1936 in Houston, to parents John and Vacel Childress Garney, whom preceded him in death. He graduated from Jeff Davis High School with honors then went on to graduate from Rice University in 1959 Magna Cum Laude.
Fred is survived by his former wife and mother of his children Daisy Mae Garney, step son Jim Miller and wife Lonnie of Livingston, daughters Debby G. White of Haviland, Kansas, Pattie Garney of Livingston , Paula Mitchell and husband Greg of Scottland, CT., sister Sandra Dacus of Walnut, CA., and nephew Kelly Roberts of Walnut, Ca. He is also survived by his 6 grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
