Mrs. Sorrells was born on January 17, 1928 in Dallas, Texas and passed away on July 15, 2014 in Livingston, Texas. She graduated from Sunset High School, class of 1945, in Dallas, Texas and married Bill Sorrells on September 13, 1946 at the Hampton Place Baptist Church in Dallas, Texas. Nell went on to work for Southwestern Bell for 30 years. She is preceded in death by her parents, Garnet and Geneva (Thompson) Douglas.


She is survived by her husband, Bill Sorrells of Onalaska, Texas; daughters and sons-in-law, Christina Stinson and Leon of Bellville, Texas and Brenda Elliott and Greg of St. Louis, Missouri; grandson and spouse, Guy Stinson and Natalie of Richmond, Texas; granddaughter and spouse, Terry Vandomelen and Cliff of Richmond, Texas; granddaughter, Amy Elliott of St. Louis, Missouri; granddaughter, Ashely Elliott of St. Louis, Missouri; four great-grandchildren, Morgan Vandomelen, Bailey Vandomelen, Tyler Stinson, and Kyle Stinson; along with numerous other relatives and friends.
