Memorial services for Gary Barnes, 79, of Livingston, Texas, will be held Friday, August 21, 2020 at 11:00 a.m. in the Cochran Funeral Home in Livingston, Texas with Pastor Brian Waddell officiating. Military honors will be provided by VFW Post #8568. Visitation will be held from 9:00 - 11:00 a.m., before the service begins, in the funeral home.

Mr. Barnes was born April 18, 1941 in Muldrow, Oklahoma to parents, Wilford Earl Barnes and Mildred Katheryn (Farmer) Barnes, and passed away August 11, 2020 in Lufkin, Texas. He is preceded in death by his parents. During his life, Mr. Barnes proudly served his country in the Unites States Air Force.

He is survived by his wife, Rosalene Barnes of Livingston; daughter, Katheryn Barnes of Fort Worth; son, John Barnes and wife, Gloria of Weslaco; and grandchildren, Logan Templeton, Jaeleigh Rodriguez, Liam Rodriguez, and Jace Rodriguez; along with numerous other relatives and friends.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the First United Methodist Church in Livingston, Texas.
