Funeral services for Gene Holmes age 67 of Livingston, Texas will be held Wednesday April 20, 2011 at 10:00 AM Graveside at Old Peebles Cemetery in Livingston with Br. Clark Lott officiating. Pallbearers will be Glen Gallop, Vincent Gallop, Michael Holmes, Chris Jackson and Ray Harriger. Honorary Pallbearers will be the City Of Livingston. Military Honors provided by the VFW Post #8568 of Livingston.

He was born August 3, 1943 in Galveston, Texas the son of John William Holmes and Christine Bartlett Holmes and passed away April 16, 2011 in Livingston, Texas.

He is survived by his wife Katy Holmes of Livingston, Paul Holmes, son of Livingston, grandchildren; Lauren Holmes, Michael Holmes, Bryce Holmes and Brock Holmes, John Holmes, brother of Livingston, Richard Holmes, brother of Livingston and Terry Gallop, sister of Santa Fe, Texas.
