Geneva Mae Manley passed away on November 6, 2023 in Kingwood, Tx.  Although she went by the name Jan, those near and dear to her called her Mom, Mam-Maw, Sister and Aunt Sister.  Geneva loved her family wholeheartedly; especially those grandbabies.

Geneva was born on January 11, 1939 in Oakland, Texas to Homer Lee and Carrie Mae Middleton.  She was raised in Rusk, Tx alongside her three siblings.

Geneva shared 43 wonderful years with the love of her life, Roger Lee Manley.  Together, they raised their three boys.  Although her greatest joy was her family, Geneva also had a love for sewing, gardening, playing games and reading.Geneva is preceded in death by her husband, Roger Lee Manley; her parents, Homer Lee and Carrie Mae Middleton; and her brother and sister-in-law, Homer Doyle and Judy Middleton.

She is survived by her son, Jimmy Ray Burleson and wife Sue of Livingston, Tx; son, Johnny Dale Burleson and wife Betty of New Caney, Tx; and son William Paul Burleson and Vicki of Livingston, Tx.  Grandchildren, Kelley Lynn Thompson of Porter, Tx; Brandy Ren'e Prince of Crosby, Tx; Jimmy Ray Burleson, Jr of Conroe, Tx; Jason Ray Burleson of Onalaska, Tx; and Kyla Renea Burleson of Livingston, Tx along with all of their families. As well as; her brother, Roy Lee Middleton and wife Shirley of Montgomery, Tx; sister, Janet Gail Burris and husband Marion of Huffman, Tx as well as a host of great grandchildren, great great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.

We will miss our Mom, Mam-Maw, Sister and Aunt Sister immensely but we know we will see her again one day. I love you, a bushel and a peck, and a hug around the neck.

Visitation for Geneva Mae Manley will begin at 9:00 am on Monday, November 13, 2023 at the Cochran Funeral Home Chapel in Livingston, Texas. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 am with Pastor Jerry Hovater officiating.
