George Henry
Broadright Jr.
January 10, 1938 – August 12, 2025
On Monday August 11, 2025, George Henry Broadright Jr., aka Pappy, loving husband, father, brother was received in the arms of his Lord and savior Jesus Christ.
George was born on January 10, 1938, in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, Allegheny, County. He grew up in West Homestead, Pennsylvania. He was a 1955 graduate from Munhall High School in Munhall, Pennsylvania. George is also a graduate of Pittsburgh Institute of Aeronautics (PIA) in West Mifflin, Pennsylvania and was in the Air Force Reserves.
George is preceded in death by his father, George Henry Broadright Sr., mother, Catherine (Albrecht) Broadright, and son-in-law Micheal S. Solt.
He is survived by his wife of 44 years, Barbara (Renfro) Broadright, of Normangee, Texas, whom he married on November 13, 1981. He leaves behind his three children, his twins, Shawn Joel Broadright, and Katrina (Broadright) Solt, and his youngest daughter Trisha Danielle Broadright all of Conroe, Texas. George is also survived by his sister Judy (Broadright) Angel of Pennsylvania. His nieces, Jodie (Angel) Banyas (Tim) of Pennsylvania and Shannon (Angel) Joyner (James) of North Carolina. George is also survived by many cousins, nieces, nephews, grandchildren and great grandchildren. George and Barbs passion for helping others extended to three individuals that became part of the family, Faith, Laura, and Savannah Hill.
George began his career at Becket Aviation in Allegheny County, Pennsylvania. Then on to a career in Aircraft Mechanics, working for Texas International, Continental, Delta, and other airlines. He had a passion for airplanes, and all things cowboy. His love for airplanes showed in his passion and involvement with Confederate Air Force (Commemoration Air Force), and his crew of the PBY.
He was honored by the Department of Transportation Federal Aviation Administration, The Charley Taylor "Master Mechanic" Award October 2012.
He loved to carve and make beautiful things from wood and his woodwork.
Services will be held grave side only, Saturday 8/16/2025 at 2:30PM @ Camp Ruby Community Cemetery, officiated by Steve Mullins, 124 Camp Ruby Rd., Livingston, Texas 77351.
